Meeting the Needs of a Senior Cat
My cat, a 17-year-old senior lady, is quite the character, especially with her Solencia jabs for arthritis. She can sometimes be a bit wobbly after using the litter box and if she gets a bit of urine on her legs, she gets a loud and demanding meow. At those times, I immediately provide a bowl of warm water and gently clean her up with a soft cloth, followed by air drying with a cool hairdryer. Despite her condition, she remains active and loves playing with classical music that I often play for her in the background.
A Daily Routine for Multiple Cats
With four cats and two kittens in my household, a well-structured daily routine is essential. In the morning, I start by feeding the big cats and the kittens separately. For the big cats, I provide half a can of wet food each, and for the kittens, I mix their wet food with a bit of dry food, as they often need smaller portions more often.
